Fight against the inhumanity
We are a political organisation of the people of Nepal, most of us young. We stand for a country where no one has to leave home to survive, no family is ruined by illness, and no citizen is shot for speaking. We fight with organisation, truth and peaceful action, never with violence.
A new political force
For decades, ordinary Nepalis have risen up, won great victories, and then watched those victories slip away. The same small group of leaders came back again and again. The promises in the Constitution stayed on paper.
We formed Project Left so that this never happens again. We stay organised after the protests end. We make specific demands with deadlines. We watch every government and report to the people on what it has and has not done.
Ten things that must change
No work at home
Thousands leave every day for the Gulf, Malaysia and India because there are no decent jobs here.
Education that leads nowhere
Public schools lack teachers, private schools cost too much, and degrees do not lead to work.
Healthcare people cannot afford
Health posts lack doctors and medicines. Families sell land to pay hospital bills.
Corruption everywhere
Bribes for basic documents, contracts for friends, and decisions made to benefit a few.
The same old leaders
The same few people have taken turns in power for decades. The young are kept out.
Parties control everything
Universities, the civil service, police and commissions are shared out as party rewards.
Protesters killed, no one punished
On Bhadra 23–25, 2082 the state fired on its own young people. Impunity continues.
Many people shut out
Women, Dalits, Indigenous peoples including Tharus, Madhesis and others are kept from real power.
Rights only on paper
The Constitution promises education, health, work and housing. Most people never receive them.
Attacks on free speech
Blocked platforms, arrested critics and threatened journalists. An attack on our online space is an attack on us.
We honour every movement that came before us by finishing the work they began. The Project Left Manifesto
A promise without a deadline is not a promise
We list what every government has promised, with its deadline, and mark it kept, late or broken.
